SaaS Integrations with AWS: AppFlow, Kendra, Stripe and more
AWS offers a number of services and best practices for integrating your SaaS with other products and capabilities.
AWS offers services for integrating SaaS applications, including AppFlow and EventBridge.
AppFlow
Amazon AppFlow is a fully managed integration service that enables you to securely transfer data between Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications like Salesforce, Marketo, Slack, and ServiceNow, and AWS services like Amazon S3 and Amazon Redshift, in just a few click.
Use cases include breaking down data silos for analytics and ML.
This webinar explains why customers like Fannie Mae and many others need SaaS integrations with applications they are using in their organization like Salesforce and Slack.
As they start building applications on AWS, there’s a need to ingest data from these SaaS sources into AWS. One way of doing it is to write custom code for API integration.
The problem here is that you will then have to maintain code and it also involves a lot of risks. For example, if there is some API change in these SaaS applications, it will break the connection. It also ends up being expensive for the customers to work with third-party solutions to maintain the code.
The demo highlights the two major use cases with data flow in AppFlow. One is the ingestion of data from SaaS applications into AWS and the second is where the changes to the AWS environment flow back to SaaS applications to enrich data.
